The modernization of the studio from which Polsat’s ”Wydarzenia” and Polsat News programs are broadcast has been in the working since July. The studio has been upgraded thoroughly, including the multimedia equipment for displaying the illustrative graphics and the information. Fully-automated operation of cameras has been also implemented. The studio has been equipped with a new LED light wall (13.5 meters by 2.16 meters, with a 1.5 mm dot). Polsat and ELEVEN SPORTS have executed an agreement regarding the acquisition of a significant stake in ELEVEN SPORTS Poland which sees Polsat become a strategic partner of ELEVEN SPORTS in the Polish market. The transaction enables ELEVEN SPORTS to consolidate its position as the fastest growing sports platform in Poland and enhance its offering for sports fans across the country.

Cyfrowy Polsat Group ended Q1 2018 with very good operational and sales results in both segments of its activity. As many as nearly 1.6 million customers use bundled offers while the number of contract services increased by nearly 0.5 million. Beginning of the year was marked by strong growth of advertising revenues and high share in the TV advertising market. Very good financial results of the entire Group were supported by the quickly achieved synergies with the newly acquired TV channels.

Polsat TV will launch two new, regular, 24-hour premium sports channels – Polsat Sport Premium 1 and Polsat Sport Premium 2, available in the new Super HD quality and without any advertisements, and four additional premium television services, which will show UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches in the next three years. All sixteen matches of each round of the Champions League will be broadcast live starting from the new season.

Cyfrowy Polsat placed purchase orders for a combined block of approximately 32% of shares in Netia from its two major shareholders. The total purchase price has been set at PLN 638.8 million. Cyfrowy Polsat intends also to announce a tender offer in order to achieve a stake of no more than 66% of the total number of votes at the General Meeting of Netia.
