ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK Ltd and leading commercial broadcaster in Poland, Telewizja Polsat Sp. z o. o., have commenced a strategic partnership in Poland.

Polsat and ELEVEN SPORTS have executed an agreement regarding the acquisition of a significant stake in ELEVEN SPORTS Poland which sees Polsat become a strategic partner of ELEVEN SPORTS in the Polish market. The transaction enables ELEVEN SPORTS to consolidate its position as the fastest growing sports platform in Poland and enhance its offering for sports fans across the country.

Cyfrowy Polsat Group sums up Q1 2018: more contract services and more customers using bundled services

Cyfrowy Polsat Group ended Q1 2018 with very good operational and sales results in both segments of its activity. As many as nearly 1.6 million customers use bundled offers while the number of contract services increased by nearly 0.5 million. Beginning of the year was marked by strong growth of advertising revenues and high share in the TV advertising market. Very good financial results of the entire Group were supported by the quickly achieved synergies with the newly acquired TV channels.

New sports channels and services of Polsat Television. Starting from 2018/2019 season, all UEFA Champions League Matches broadcast live for the first time in Poland

Polsat TV will launch two new, regular, 24-hour premium sports channels – Polsat Sport Premium 1 and Polsat Sport Premium 2, available in the new Super HD quality and without any advertisements, and four additional premium television services, which will show UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches in the next three years. All sixteen matches of each round of the Champions League will be broadcast live starting from the new season.

Planned strategic investment of Grupa Cyfrowy Polsat – acquisition of a block of shares in Netia. New services, new market and boost to implementation of a convergent operator strategy

Cyfrowy Polsat placed purchase orders for a combined block of approximately 32% of shares in Netia from its two major shareholders. The total purchase price has been set at PLN 638.8 million. Cyfrowy Polsat intends also to announce a tender offer in order to achieve a stake of no more than 66% of the total number of votes at the General Meeting of Netia.

Polsat Group to boost its TV segment. Telewizja Polsat with new channels from ZPR Media Group

Polsat Group continues its development strategy for the television production and broadcasting segment as, pursuant to an agreement executed with ZPR Media Group, it acquires 100% of shares in the companies owning Eska TV, Eska TV Extra, Eska Rock TV, Polo TV and Vox Music TV channels, as well as a 34% stake in the company owning Fokus TV and Nowa TV stations, and concluded a preliminary share purchase agreement pertaining to further 15% of shares in that company to be acquired in the future.

Free Wi-Fi at Copernicus Science Center (CNK)

A free Wi-Fi service was launched today at the Copernicus Science Center at the initiative of Plus network. The Wi-Fi service can be used both in the Center’s building as well as in the adjacent Park Odkrywców (Discovery Park).

 The Wi-Fi service offered at the premises of Copernicus Science Center is a free service, however access to the Internet is limited to half an hour at a time, after which one can log on again.

All Champions League and Europa League matches to be shown in w Cyfrowy Polsat

Starting from August 2018, for three consecutive years (till 2021) all the matches (over 1000) of UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League will be shown on Polsat channels only. Polsat Group has acquired, for Polish fans, exclusive rights for showing the CL and EL matches across all distribution channels, including TV, the Internet and mobile devices. The 2018/2019 season will be a new chapter in the history of the Champion’s League and Europa League thanks to numerous novelties and improvements introduced by UEFA for viewers and fans.
