Polsat Group invites filmmakers to submit interesting projects which the Group might support in terms of production, promotion and distribution under the new program called Digital Filmmakers Zone (Cyfrowa Strefa Twórców). A good idea is what counts, as well as the potential of a given film for reaching wide cinema and television audience, not only in Poland but also and the international arena. Projects may be submitted via the website www.cyfrowastrefatworcow.pl.

During the official ceremony summing up this year’s edition of the List 500 of the largest Polish enterprises, Cyfrowy Polsat Capital Group was awarded with the Eagle of Rzeczpospolita daily in the category Best infrastructure, trade and non-financial services company.

Tomasz Szeląg, the CFO of Polsat Group, was promoted and will now be responsible for broadly understood finances in the entire capital group of Zygmunt Solorz‐Żak.

To be able to accomplish the challenges ahead of him in the best way possible, apart from the currently held functions Tomasz Szeląg will also become a member of the corporate authorities of other companies as a Supervisory Board member, a Management Board member or a company proxy.

Cyfrowy Polsat Group published very good operating and financial results for 2015.

Cyfrowy Polsat Group, through Polkomtel, acquired Litenite - a company controlling 66% of shares in Midas Group. Under the second stage of the transaction a tender offer for shares was announced to buy back the remaining 34% of shares of Midas Group. The transaction will be financed from Cyfrowy Polsat Group’s own resources.

Cyfrowy Polsat Group repaid the Senior Notes issued by Eileme 2 AB (publ) – a company from Cyfrowy Polsat Group – with the nominal value of EUR 542.5 million and USD 500 million, thereby completing the process of refinancing the current indebtedness of the Group.

When analyzing cost models of further development of the network and services for the customers, Polkomtel (a company belonging to Cyfrowy Polsat Capital Group) decided that it would be more profitable and effective, while at the same time ensuring the highest quality of services, to roll out the network on other frequencies than 800 MHz band.

Following a tender, Cyfrowy Polsat and Plus selected a new media house, Vizeum Poland. Starting from January 2016 the new media house will be responsible for the media strategy, planning and purchase of media for the needs of the two companies’ advertising campaigns.

Vizeum Polska will be responsible for the comprehensive strategy of operation of the two companies in all media, both in the off-line media, namely TV, the press, radio, cinemas, outdoor, as well as in the on-line and social media.

On Monday, October 12, 2015, during an official gala of one of the most important competitions in the advertising sector – Effie Awards – Polsat Group received an award for the smartDOM program.
