Cyfrowy Polsat Group sums up Q1 2020 – providing aid in the fight against the coronavirus, launch of the commercial 5G network and acquisition of Interia Group

In spite of the declared state of epidemics in Poland, Cyfrowy Polsat Group started 2020 very well by effectively adjusting the operations of its companies to the situation caused by the epidemics and also by being involved in helping Polish healthcare institutions and Polish citizens. As regards its strategic  investments, Cyfrowy Polsat Group signed a preliminary agreement for acquisition of Interia Group and also launched the first in Poland commercial 5G network.

200 000 coronavirus tests donated to Polish citizens by Zygmunt Solorz and Polsat Group

Zygmunt Solorz and Polsat Group spent over PLN 16 million to buy 200 thousands tests confirming presence of coronavirus together with the necessary laboratory equipment. The tests will be donated to Polish citizens and provided to the Ministry of Health in order to improve the capability of testing, identifying and isolating the infected, and will be a key factor in fighting the coronavirus epidemic in Poland.

Polsat Group acquires Interia

Telewizja Polsat (Polsat TV) has concluded a preliminary agreement with Bauer Media Group for the purchase of Interia Group. It is a strategic decision from the point of view of Polsat Group’s development, which will contribute to achieving its significant position on the Internet. Upon finalization of the transaction, which is contingent on Telewizja Polsat obtaining the approval from the anti-trust authority, Interia Group will become a member of Polsat Group, the biggest media-and-telecommunications group in Poland and in the region.

Polsat Group donates 2 thousand connected tablets to orphanages and family-run orphanages as well as to foster families and educational care facilities

Polsat Group sums up 2019 – 2 million customers of multiplay offer, new services, strategic cooperation with Asseco and construction of 5G network

2019 was another year for Polsat Group with very good operating and financial results. Most important events include: implementation of the „TV/Internet/Telephone. For everyone. Polsat Group to raise PLN 1 billion for refinancing the pro-ecological projects. Success of the first in Poland corporate green bonds issue

Cyfrowy Polsat will carry out the first in Poland issue of corporate green bonds denominated in Polish zloty (PLN), with the proceeds from the bond issue, amounting PLN 1 billion, being used for refinancing the pro-environmental projects, including improvement of the energy efficiency by the Group or reduction of the carbon footprint associated with the electronic devices manufactured by Cyfrowy Polsat.
