
Polsat Plus Group has conducted social activities for over 30 years. Under the ESG Strategy we carry out projects for social environment (S), which are our response to challenges defined under 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Our flagship projects fulfill the assumptions of 10 goals. Nowadays, they are associated not only with the brands from the Group’s portfolio but also a large portion of the society is aware of them.
Ecological education of the society is one of the goals of Polsat Plus Group. It is execute mainly in cooperation with Lepsza Polska Assosiation and through other activities of companies. “Czyste, Zielone Miasta” (Clean, green cities) project is the flagship project of the Association. Plus and Polsat Box address ecology-related issues in “Brawo Ty!” subscriber magazine. Polsat Box Go created a program called “Zwierzostan” (Well-being of animals). Polsat News has also joined an active fight against smog in its “Clean Poland” program, and Polsat each year invites its viewers to the show “Earth Festival. Starts for Clean Poland”. The Zielona Interia service spreads the knowledge about climate changes, supports endangered species and encourages to use zero-emission means of transport, among others in Przemysław Białkowski podcasts.

Polsat Plus Group has been for many years battling digital divide and popularizing state-of the art fast mobile Internet access technologies. Plus, which focuses on education and innovative communication, has cooperated with the Copernicus Science Center since 2010 – one of the most modern institutions combining popularization of science and culture in Europe – assuring access to free Wi-Fi to visitors.
In the area combining safety and education, we are particularly proud of our close cooperation with the rescue organizations GOPR, TOPR, WOPR, MOPR for more than 20 years now. Working together with the rescuers, Plus has launched the Integrated Rescue System, and emergency numbers: 601 100 100 (waterside) i 601 100 300 (mountains) can be accessed from all mobile and fixed-line networks in Poland and they operate round-the-clock all-year-long.
Promotion of sports is one of the social activities in which Polsat Plus Group is very much involved. Sports occupy a special place in the operations of Plus and Netia (sponsoring of volleyball and basketball) as well as Polsat TV (coverage of numerous disciplines on a few sports channels). Polsat and Plus brands are the titular sponsors of Gdansk Arena and Gdynia Arena. Plus has supported Polish Volleyball for more than 25 years. Diversity, richness and uniqueness of sports content are also advantages of Interia Sport, which are emphasized by the campaign: “Żyjemy sportem” (Pursuing a sporty lifestyle).
St. Nicholas Day Commercial Break
20 years now, Telewizja Polsat and Polsat Media Biuro Reklamy advertising bureau have been organizing Mikołajkowy Blok Reklamowy (St. Nicholas Day Commercial Break). Every December 6 at 6.45 p.m. millions of Poles watch TV to help ill children in this simple manner. The entire revenue from the St. Nicholas Day Commercial Break is donated to the treatment and rehabilitation of the children who are under the care of Polsat Foundation.
'Qurier Świętego Mikołaja' action
Though in Polsat Plus Group employee volunteering is not regulated by any formal procedures, our employees have for years been participating in various initiatives. “Qurier Świętego Mikołaja” action organized in cooperation with Polki Mogą Wszystko Foundation and “Charity Christmas Fair” with Polsat Foundation are a traditional feature in Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel. Polsat organizes electrical waste collection actions. A call from the production team of “Nasz Nowy Dom” (Our new home) program, which visited an animal shelter in Lublin with camera, was answered not only by viewers and employees of Television, but also by volunteers from Plus, Cyfrowy Polsat, Netia, Interia and InterPhone Service. Interia raised money, among others for Alma Spei Hospice for Children, Brother Albert Foundation and La Fauna Foundation for Animals, and blood donations take place regularly in most offices in Warsaw and the factory in Mielec.
