Saudi football league to remain on Polsat Sport channels

Date

TV Polsat, in cooperation with media broker IMG, has extended its broadcasting agreement for the Roshn Saudi League by four more seasons. This marks another strengthening of the most extensive sports offering built by Polsat Sport over its 25-year history. Thanks to this deal, Polish fans will continue to enjoy watching football stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mané, and Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bułka in action.

The newly launched season of the Saudi football league, officially known as the Roshn Saudi League, is the 51st in its history. Over the course of 34 matchdays, a total of 306 games will be played. Among the 18 participating teams, three are newcomers: Al-Najma, Neom, and Al-Hazem. The reigning champion is Al-Ittihad.

Growing popularity of the Saudi League

The RSL continues to strengthen its position on the global football map. Last season, the league was broadcast by 183 media outlets, including TV Polsat, which has been airing the matches continuously since 2023. The league also recorded a 200% increase in revenue from international sponsorships. Stadium attendance was impressive as well, exceeding 2.5 million spectators. For comparison, Poland’s Ekstraklasa drew 3.6 million fans, despite Poland having a population nearly three million higher than Saudi Arabia. These figures are not surprising, as football is the most popular sport in Saudi Arabia. The star-studded roster is a major draw for fans, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, and featuring players such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté, Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman, Theo Hernandez, and Marcin Bułka, who joined the league this summer.

Rich selection of football broadcasts on Polsat Sport

Polsat Sport channels plan to broadcast three matches per league round. The first match of the new season is the Friday clash between Al-Taawoun and Al-Nassr, with Cristiano Ronaldo among the players. The game will air at 19:55 on Polsat Sport Premium 1, with commentary by Mateusz Stefanik and Piotr Urban. Polish fans will also be watching closely as Marcin Bułka defends the goal for Neom, one of the league’s newcomers. Saudi league matches will also be available via Polsat Box Go streaming. The Roshn Saudi League is just one of many football competitions available on Polsat Sport channels. Fans can also enjoy a wide range of domestic and international tournaments, including the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, as well as matches from the German Bundesliga, Dutch Eredivisie, and the UEFA Nations League.
