Polsat Sport – the best sports channel in 2014

Polsat Sport was the most viewed sports channel in 2014. The channel had average results at the level of 0.50% SHR in 16-49 age group and 0.53% SHR in 4+age group, winning decidedly in both audience groups with all sports channels, including Eurosport (0.31% SHR in 16-49 age group) and TVP Sport (0.32% SHR in 16-49 age group)*. Polsat Sport has won for six consecutive years in 16-49 age group, and for two years in 4+ age group.

Plus introduced HD Voice and is working on VoLTE

Plus introduced the HD Voice technology for its customers, which will enhance the quality of connections and improve the comfort of calls. In the first stage the HD Voice service was introduced in Warsaw and part of the Mazovian voivodship as well as the Lublin and Podlaskie voivodships in Eastern Poland. In the first quarter of 2015 the service will be available on the territory of the entire country.

PlusLiga and Orlen Liga on Polsat sports channels for the next 5 years

Telewizja Polsat purchased rights to sports league PlusLiga and Orlen Liga for a consecutive 5 years.

Until the end of the 2019/2020 season Telewizja Polsat will hold full rights to domestic volleyball. Polsat Sport, Polsat Sport Extra and Polsat Sport News will broadcast the most interesting matches of the world champions’ league – PlusLiga, as well as meetings of Orlen Liga. Apart from league events Polsat sports channels will broadcast games of men’s and women’s Polish Cup and Polish Supercup.

Polsat News nominated to Eutelsat TV Awards 2014

The news channel Polsat News was nominated to the international award Eutelsat TV Awards 2014. Henryk Sobierajski is the channel director. Polsat News has been broadcast for 6 years.

This year the Eutelsat TV Awards jury focused on strengthening and developing the TV channel – view relation. The jury debated in Paris on September 26-27. The jury, comprised of industry experts and headed by award-winning RAI journalist Duilio Giammaria, assessed the quality, level of innovation, and creativity of over 100 channels from 20 countries.
