Cyfrowy Polsat launched a new version of its Internet Customer Service Center (ICSC), which allows for individual management of the subscription account via Internet in a much larger scope than thus far and simplifies the payment process, even for many services simultaneously.
On April 11, 2014 Cyfrowy Polsat Group concluded a facilities agreement with a syndicate of Polish and foreign banks. The loan, amounting to up to PLN 3 billion, will be used to refinance the Group’s debt and thus fulfill one of the conditions precedent of the transaction of acquisition of Metelem (company controlling 100% shares of Polkomtel) announced on November 14, 2013.
Plus and Cyfrowy Polsat are initiating the second phase of the joint program smartDOM, which until now comprised television, Internet access and telephony services and offered discounts for every additional product purchased.
On May 7, 2014 all conditions precedent have been met and Cyfrowy Polsat closed the transaction of acquisition of Metelem, entity indirectly controlling 100% shares in Polkomtel. The operator of mobile network Plus joins Polsat Group, now the largest media-telecommunications group in the region and one of the largest Polish entrepreneurships.
Cyfrowy Polsat Capital Group published excellent operating and financial results for the first quarter of 2014. The satellite platform reports record high revenue, Telewizja Polsat improves both audience and advertising market shares, and Polkomtel (who joined the Group on May 7) regularly increases the number of mobile Internet users and maintains high profitability of business.
The largest Polish internet TV IPLA is now available in a new version – with 36 channels, new packages and a modified, transparent content layout, which will facilitate searching and viewing video content.
IPLA users can enjoy 10 new channels, over 1400 films, hit series before their premiere on television, latest programmes: entertainment, educational, guide, natural scientific, music, cartoons and many others from over 30 TV stations as well as live sports events.
On May 13, 2014 Plus and Cyfrowy Polsat introduced a special offer within the smartDOM program, addressed to existing clients – “Second product for half price, third for PLN 1”.
A new IPLA application for iOS is available on the App Store. Its users have access to 10 packages offering diversified video content for children and adults: IPLA NEWS, IPLA ROZRYWKA, IPLA DZIECI, IPLA WIEDZA, IPLA MINI, IPLA MAX, IPLA FILMY I SERIALE, IPLA PREMIERY, IPLA SPORT, IPLA EXTRA. The platform’s viewers will be able to watch hits from the largest production studios as well as events available in the PPV system on their iPads and iPhones. The application also provides a full offer of 36 TV channels live.
