Already 4.2 million Polish residents in range of 5G Ultra network, more than 20 million in range of 5G

Plus, the leader in 5G technology, which already has more than 20 million Polish residents in range, launched 5G Ultra, an even faster mobile Internet, in mid-June. More than a month after the launch, the fiber-fast Internet technology is available to over 4.2 million Polish residents in 171 towns and cities, thanks to nearly 700 base stations. At the same time, Plus is expanding its range of devices supporting 5G Ultra.

Plus is steadily expanding the availability of high-speed mobile Internet in Poland. Since the launch of 5G Ultra, there have been 76 new cities covered by this technology. As a result, more than 4.2 million Polish residents in smaller and larger towns now have access to the high-speed 5G Ultra network, which already consists of nearly 700 base stations. In total, there are more than 20 million people in 5G coverage across the country.

For users, this means being able to use mobile Internet at fiber-optic speeds. This will translate into even faster downloads, uninterrupted online meetings, comfortable remote working and learning, and smooth video viewing at the highest quality. The technology used uses aggregation (combining) of 3 radio bands - two in 5G technology (2600 MHz and 2100 MHz) and additionally a 4G layer (1800 MHz) - for high-speed data transmission.

Expanded portfolio of devices supporting 5G Ultra network

Plus has expanded its portfolio of smartphones and routers compatible with the ultrafast network. Among the new additions are: smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 5G, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 5G, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S23+, Samsung Galaxy S23, and the ZTE MC888 5G router.

Customers can also choose from previously available models such as: Samsung Galaxy A34 5G, Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, Samsung Galaxy S22+, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung Z Flip4 5G, Samsung Z Fold4 5G, OPPO Find N2 Flip 5G, motorola edge 40 pro, motorola ThinkPhone, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, D-Link DWR-X1820 router, Zowee Router 5G CPE 5 and ZTE MC889 5G + WiFi Router - ZTE T3000.

Fastest 5G internet according to SpeedTest.pl ranking

Plus has invariably been the leader in 5G technology for more than two years, as confirmed by the results of the rankings conducted by SpeedTest.pl. Both 5G and 5G Ultra network coverage is being successively expanded by Plus. While 4.2 million Polish residents are already within the range of 5G Ultra (a technology operating on two 5G bands - 2600 MHz and 2100 MHz, and one 4G band - 1800 MHz), Plus' overall 5G coverage (2600 MHz band) already includes more than 20 million residents of the country, thanks to the operation of nearly 3,500 base stations.
