Cyfrowy Polsat, the biggest media-and-telecommunication group in Poland, Polsat Sport sports TV channel and Onet – Ringier Axel Springer Polska Group (RASP) entered into cooperation in the field of distribution of exclusive sports video content produced by Polsat TV’s sports channels and by IPLA web TV. The content will be distributed on Onet Portal and via Onet-RASP sports services. The users of these services can already now find unique content related to the 2016 Men’s European Handball Championship which is starting in Poland.

The application of the largest online television IPLA for devices with Android operating system exceeded 5 million downloads. This makes it one of the most popular Polish applications in Google Play store and the most popular mobile VOD application in Poland. New versions of IPLA applications have been released recently, designed for mobile Android devices and Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba Smart TVs.

Users of the largest online TV IPLA received even more channels, kids shows and entertainment programs. Without any price change, 11 TV channels were added to the offer, including as many as 8 channels from the VIACOM International Media Networks (VIMN) portfolio. Furthermore, users of IPLA, as the first viewers in Poland, acquired access to the contents of Comedy Central Extra – a new VIMN brand on the Polish market.

In order to accommodate the needs of people suffering from hearing loss or impairment, the largest Polish online television IPLA is developing subtitle accessibility and expanding its library of content with subtitles by adding new positions from the offer of Telewizja Polsat. Currently, IPLA offers close to 500 positions with subtitles, all marked with a special icon facilitating their identification, and this number will continue grow in the future. 

On August 30th 2014, the users of IPLA, Poland’s biggest online TV service, were given an opportunity to watch the opening match of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014 based on a unique multi-camera coverage, which was offered exclusively to IPLA users and enabled them to switch between three additional cameras and watch the match from different angles. As many as 85% of IPLA viewers watching the Poland vs. Serbia match through the www.ipla.tv service and mobile devices jumped at that opportunity!
