Green energy production

In 2021, we expanded the Group's activities to include a new business pillar – the production of clean energy from renewable sources. According to the assumptions of our Strategy 2023+, in the years 2022-2026 we will make investments totaling PLN 5 billion, which will result in the installed capacity of the renewable energy sources of Polsat Plus Group reaching almost 1,000 MW. With the RES sources built, we will be able to produce up to 2 TWh of clean, green energy per year, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Poland’s economy by more than 2 million tons of CO2 equivalent yearly.

As part of Strategy 2023+, we are primarily developing wind power capacity as the most efficient source of renewable energy. We currently have 4 wind farms in operation with a total installed capacity of 150 MW, and we are building two more. Upon completion, our total installed wind power capacity will reach 300 MW. We also have an 82.4 MW photovoltaic farm in our portfolio and are developing a new 8.4 MW project. The stabilizing source of renewable energy production, which is sensitive to meteorological conditions, is biomass boilers with a total capacity of 105 MW.
