As part of its ESG and employee volunteering initiatives, the Polsat Plus Group took part in the 'WARto wspólnie' initiative, implemented in cooperation with the Volunteer Center Association for the 'Leśny' Social Welfare Home in Warsaw. The project represents a practical implementation of the idea of partnerships for sustainable development and reflects the Group's long-standing commitment to social engagement.
Teams from Polkomtel and Cyfrowy Polsat took part in the initiative, working together with the Social Welfare Home staff and volunteers from other organizations to carry out a wide range of activities aimed at improving the quality of life for the facility's residents.
The scope of the activities carried out included, among others:
- preparing and developing a garden for residents,
- renovating a gazebo and creating a pétanque court,
- installing and painting benches,
- refreshing selected rooms, including the common room and the hair salon,
- creating a mural under the supervision of an artist and social activist,
- organizing handicraft workshops involving residents,
- providing a basic preventive healthcare zone.
The project was implemented under conditions that required flexibility and a rapid response to emerging operational challenges. Thanks to the commitment of volunteers and effective teamwork, all planned activities were completed and their scope was expanded. The initiative delivered tangible social outcomes while also contributing to the development of employees' competencies, particularly in the areas of collaboration, adaptability, and social responsibility. For the Polsat Plus Group, this represents a natural continuation of more than 30 years of engagement in community-focused activities.
