Polsat Plus Group has won the tender for exclusive broadcasting rights to the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League for four seasons, from 2027/2028 to 2030/2031. These are the only European club competitions in which the participation of Polish teams is guaranteed.
All matches will be available on Polsat Sport Premium channels. In each season, the Group will broadcast a total of 342 matches from both competitions, which translates into 1,368 matches over four seasons. This will provide viewers and customers of the Polsat Plus Group with access to the only European club competitions with guaranteed participation of Polish teams through to 2031.
“We are very pleased to have acquired the rights to the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League for the next four seasons, through to 2031. This is excellent news for our customers. We are particularly pleased because these competitions guarantee the participation of Polish teams, which was extremely important for us in this tender. We are a Polish company, operating in the Polish market, and it is essential for us that fans in Poland can watch European cup competitions featuring Polish clubs,” – said Maciej Stec, Vice President of Polsat Plus Group.
“Matches will be broadcast both on television and via streaming platforms. We believe that each year several Polish clubs will play dozens of matches in the league phase and many more in the most exciting knockout stage. In this way, we are providing our customers with key, highly engaging sports content on Polsat Sport Premium channels through 2031,” – added Maciej Stec.
In each season of both competitions, a total of 342 matches will be broadcast:
- UEFA Europa League – 189 matches, 17 matchweeks, 36 clubs in the league phase
- UEFA Conference League – 153 matches, 15 matchweeks, 36 clubs in the league phase
In the league phase of the Europa League, each team will play 8 matches (4 home and 4 away). In the Conference League, each team will play 6 matches (3 home and 3 away).
The package includes all exclusive rights, covering full live broadcasts of the league phase, knockout stage and the finals of both competitions, which represent the culmination of each season. Importantly, the tender covered rights for four seasons, rather than three, as in previous cycles.
A key element of the agreement is the guaranteed participation of at least two Polish teams in European competitions during the term of the contract, as a result of strong performances by Polish clubs in recent years.
Polsat Plus Group offers its customers a broad and strong sports portfolio, including the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Conference League, Wimbledon, the ATP Tour, volleyball, major European football leagues (Spanish, Italian, French and German), and Formula 1, including content available on Eleven Sports channels, which are also part of the Polsat Plus Group.
