Piotr Żak, by decision of the Council of TiVi Foundation – the main shareholder of Polsat Plus Group – has been reappointed as President of the Management Board of the entire Group. The decision was unanimous and reflects trust and confidence in his effective management, consistent delivery of strategic objectives, and the continued development of the Group in the right direction.
The Group’s achievements in recent months, positively assessed by the capital market, include:
- improvement in financial results, including a reversal of the negative EBITDA trend,
- development of the offering, particularly bundled services, and increased sales momentum at Plus, Polsat Box and Netia,
- an active approach to artificial intelligence (AI), including the search for innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency and improve customer experience, which may significantly impact cost levels,
- implementation of a new management model and incentive system.
"We are acting faster and more boldly, making decisions more efficiently, and we are already seeing initial results, which are also appreciated by the market," says Piotr Żak. "I would like to thank everyone for their trust, especially the employees of Polsat Plus Group, thanks to whom such results are possible. What we have achieved over the last few months is fantastic and only possible thanks to full commitment, conviction and mutual trust."
Recent achievements of Polsat Plus Group in its key business segments:
- At Plus, the trend has been reversed – thanks to new offers, customers are increasingly choosing the network’s services. Communication with customers has been simplified and focused on clearly presenting benefits.
- In the pay TV segment, i.e. access to content and streaming, the offering has been thoroughly rebuilt and simplified. Polsat Box Go offers 200 online channels, the largest live sports content and a rich library of films and series. Polsat Box provides attractive TV packages and most popular streaming services in one place.
- Within both Polsat Box and Plus, the Group’s offering for PLN 80 provides access to 5 services – HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV, SkyShowtime and Amazon Prime.
- In the media segment, the Group focuses on sports and news. Channels from the Polsat Sport family and Eleven Sports are being strengthened. The Group is investing in key events for Polish fans. Until 2031, it has extended the rights to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League involving Polish teams. The ATP tour featuring Polish tennis players is already available on Polsat Sport, and from the new season Iga Świątek and Maja Chwalińska in the WTA tour will be broadcast exclusively on the Group’s channels and on Eleven Sports.
"I want to give our Group a new impulse for further development. We have solid foundations and we will certainly continue to develop in future-oriented media and telecommunications segments. These are also natural areas for the intelligent implementation of artificial intelligence, which is transforming entire sectors of the economy and enables rapid deployment of new ideas. I will always attach the greatest importance to sound finances. I am focused on increasing revenues, improving EBITDA and reducing liabilities," adds Piotr Żak.
As previously announced, Polsat Plus Group will present its new strategy later this autumn.
